This Is The Start of Something New

I am pretty psyched about this IML program.

There is just so much you can do with multimedia and I can't wait to learn everything there is to know about it.

I suppose I should start off with some kind of introduction as to who I am. I'm currently a freshman at USC majoring in broadcast journalism. I signed up for the IML program because I want to expand my knowledge about multimedia and use it in my work.

So far this class has made me look at multimedia and technology from a different perspective. I had always assumed it was just a form of entertainment but now I am starting to see it's a lot more.

Now when I watch a film or hear a song, I think about the deeper meanings. Why did the creator choose to use this medium? Who are they trying to target? What is the message they are trying to convey?

In this digital age, we are all connected. There are so many programs and applications that bring us together. People across the world from each other can connect instantly at the touch of a button.

It's a pretty exciting time we are living in and I can't help but wonder where this is going to take us.
